Dear parents and carers,
You have all received a log in for your child to access Microsoft Teams.
If we need to move into a lockdown or bubble closure again, or school has to initiate the Outbreak management plan, the following home learning will take place:
Every Friday, your teacher will send you a weekly timetable which shows the work which we would like children to cover during the week. It will be a selection of Maths and English, exercise and topic work.
Every day, your child's teacher will record a reading session so your child can listen to the class novel or book.
Children in Early Years and KS1 will have a repeated read; this is where the teacher will read the same book during the week and have activities and areas where your child can join in to develop their vocabulary and enjoyment of books.
Some lessons will include a video to introduce them and some lessons can be done independently or have a link to support them.
We will have 2 live sessions a week where you will be able to speak to the class teacher to share work, ask question and address any misconceptions. We will try to have these at different times across the classes to accommodate parents supporting siblings or to help with access to computers at home.
The work will be recorded where needed, so that you can access the lessons at a time to suit you. We hope this helps parents who are juggling how to access online sessions with several children and work from home as well.
We may have all staff in school every day looking after key worker children also so we hope that working in this way, all children will get the same offer and input, regardless of if they are at home or in school.
Please get in touch if you have any problems and bear with us as we get this all up and running efficiently.
