We work hard to support all of our pupils and families.
We employ a part-time Learning Mentor, Mrs Knowles, who is our Mental Health Lead in school and is available every day to support children and their families.
The Learning Mentor supports pupils’ academic engagement, emotional wellbeing, and social development by removing barriers to learning. The role works closely with pupils, families, and staff to promote attendance, safeguarding, and positive mental health, ensuring children are safe, supported, and able to thrive.
Please contact the school office and ask for Mrs Knowles if you need her support.
We work with Future in Minds to offer 1:1 sessions for pupils in need. We also offer small group sessions or class sessions to aid with things which are worrying pupils.
We deliver assemblies and lessons through our RHE curriculum on understanding our feelings and emotions and how to deal with them as well as developing scripts and ways to help ourselves and others.
We have recently worked with our pupils on ‘Finding our Brave’ and understanding that it is ok to ask for help.
We continue to work hard to support our pupils and prepare them for life.
