Collaborative Partnerships & System Leadership

Read Write Inc. – National Filmed School

In 2025, Stanley Grove was selected as one of only three schools nationally to become a Read Write Inc. Filmed School - a significant recognition of the exceptional quality of our early reading provision. As a result, our practice is captured and shared as a benchmark of excellence, supporting schools across the country and internationally to strengthen their phonics and early literacy teaching. Our work contributes directly to raising standards well beyond our own setting.

Sharing Practice with Others – Sector-Wide Impact

Stanley Grove is a highly outward-facing school with a substantial and sustained commitment to system leadership. We regularly welcome a large number of schools from across the region and nationally to observe and learn from our practice.

Our offer extends beyond single visits: we provide structured, high-quality professional development, curriculum exemplification and leadership support. Our broad, ambitious and carefully sequenced curriculum- particularly our recognised strength in the arts and pupil leadership serves as a model for others.

This extensive outreach reflects the exceptional level our team work at to support others: our work is not only impactful within our own school but is widely disseminated, highly influential and improving practice at scale.

Jerry Clay English Hub – Driving Regional Improvement

We are proud to play a key role within the Jerry Clay English Hub. Members of our staff team are recognised specialists and accredited auditors, working directly with schools across the region to improve the teaching of early reading.

Through coaching, training and quality assurance, we support schools to implement evidence-informed approaches with fidelity- ensuring that more children, beyond Stanley Grove, become confident and fluent readers.

Outwood Together – Strong Local Partnerships

We are deeply committed to collaboration within our local community. Through Outwood Together, we work in close partnership with seven local schools to strengthen provision and ensure consistently high outcomes for all children.

This partnership enables meaningful collaboration between leaders and staff, supports shared professional development and ensures high-quality transition into Key Stage 3. Our locality-driven approach ensures that collective responsibility leads to improved outcomes for every child in our community.
