Your child will receive a homework book containing weekly activities linked to learning in class, alongside weekly spelling practice. We ask that you support your child by reading with them every day, as regular reading greatly supports progress and confidence. Sharing a book together can be a calm and enjoyable part of your daily routine, and reading can be recorded in your child’s reading record.  Children accessing phonics will also have QR codes which may be sent home to support you in  working with your child's phonics and word reading.  

By the end of Year 4, children are expected to know all their times tables, so regular practice at home is encouraged to support this important skill.  Children have access to an online programme called TTRockstars which gives further practise on this.
