Your child may be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) if you receive certain benefits. Registering for Free School Meals is quick and confidential and can provide important support for both your child and the school.
If your child is eligible, they will receive free school meals, and the school will also receive additional funding called Pupil Premium.
Pupil Premium funding helps us provide extra support for children, including:
Additional teaching and learning support
Small group interventions
Support for wellbeing and emotional needs
Help with educational visits and enrichment opportunities
Access to additional resources and experiences
Even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 and already receives a free meal through the Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme, it is still important to register if you are eligible. This ensures the school receives the additional Pupil Premium funding to support your child’s learning.
You may be eligible if you receive certain benefits, including:
Universal Credit
Income Support
Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
Child Tax Credit (with no Working Tax Credit and income below the threshold)
Applying is simple and confidential. You can apply online through your local authority’s Free School Meals application service or contact the school office, who will be happy to support you with the process.
If you think your child may be eligible, we encourage you to apply. Registering can help provide additional support, opportunities and resources for your child during their time at Stanley Grove.
